The administration of the Abuja Municipal Area Council, AMAC, under the leadership of the Executive Chairman, Honourable Christopher Maikalangu, has taken a bold step challenging residents and stakeholders to personally inspect the numerous infrastructural projects completed and ongoing across the council as a proof they are well executed.

A statement by Senior Special Assistant on Media and Public Affairs to the Executive Chairman, Kingsley Madaki, stressed that the call serves as a direct assertion that the most irrefutable evidence of the administration’s commitment is visibly entrenched within the communities where they are located.

“We affirm that this is not political talk, but tangible, verifiable progress.

“We encourage everyone to take a drive and see the results of the AMAC administration across all sectors,” the statement emphasized.

Explaining the level of extensive development footprints in AMAC Communities, the statement linked the possibilities to the Chairman’s commitment to grassroots development which it noted is clearly visible, with communities across AMAC benefiting from targeted interventions.

It noted further that, the most comprehensive aspect of the work had been focused on roads and access infrastructure, with completed or ongoing asphalt projects and rehabilitation spread across Sabon Lugbe, Gosa and Toge (along the Airport Road axis), Chika, Iddo-Sarki, Jikwoyi (including Phase 1), Orozo (including Unguwan Sarki Access Road), Kpegyi, Damagaza Village, Wumba Village, Gwagwa (by Police Station), Kabusa (including Dnako Community road).

The Maikalangu administration stated that the targeted roads are critical for commerce, security, and daily life of the residents.

The administration also declared that it has aggressively addressed the twin challenges of water and power supply. Critical interventions, including Solar-Powered Boreholes with overhead tanks and Transformer Installations, have been delivered in areas which include Jiwa (Transformer and Borehole), Angwan Gade – Jikwoyi (Solar Borehole with 10,000L tank), Karshi (Motorized Borehole at Karshi Agwan), Kugbo (500kVA Transformer), Karu (500kVA Transformer), Zaudna, Bagusa, Damgma, Kokoipo, Toge (Transformer), and Gidan-Diya (Transformer). These projects provide clean water and reliable electricity to previously underserved areas.

It pointed out that the administration’s  focus on social services is alao evident in the Health and Education sectors, which projects include renovation and construction of primary facilities are taking place in: Garki (LEA Primary School Renovation and PHC Renovation), Durumi 3 (New 3-Classroom Block & PHC Construction), Nyanya (New/Rebuilt Healthcare Clinic), Madallah (Construction of one block of three classrooms), and Iddo Sabo (Construction of one block of three classrooms).

“These projects are directly improving learning environments and access to basic healthcare,” the statement noted.

And, as part of its commitment to all 12 Wards, the Maikalangu’s leadership stressed that the extensive list in this regard is a demonstration of its unwavering commitment to delivering key infrastructure across all twelve wards of AMAC.

“We have deliberately focused our resources on grassroots communities to ensure the dividends of democracy reach those who need them most.

“The communities listed are a testament to our resolve, and we urge all citizens to join us in celebrating and protecting these valuable public assets,”. the statement concluded.
