– Says Demise Shocking, Devastating
By Olawale Lamina
A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and former National Publicity Secretary of the defunct New Peoples Democratic Party (nPDP), Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, has commiserated with former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, over the demise of Mr. Ifeanyi Izeze.
According to Chief Eze, the late Izeze, was a pioneering member of Atiku’s media team, whom he had worked together with in the former Vice President’s political dynasty.
Eze expressed sadness over the loss of Mr Izeze, whom he described as admirable and a fearless media iconoclast, saying that his passing is a big blow at this period when he was needed to add his strong voice to put things right in this country.
In a condolence message to Atiku, the media czar described Izeze’s death as unbelievable and shocking, saying the former VP has lost an asset when it comes to media management.
“The news of the death of my friend and brother, Pastor Ifeanyi Izeze assaulted my earlobes. It is painful to lose such an enigma, resourceful and communication strategist, at a time his services were needed most by our Principal.
“Our consolation lies in the fact that death is a certain end for mankind, Eze stated.
The chieftain therefore prayed God to grant Atiku and families of the departed, the fortitude to bear the loss of a close aide to the former VP.
“His Excellency, our Principal Sir, our hearts and thoughts are with you and the immediate family of late Mr Izeze.
“In this trying period, we pray God to grant the soul of Mr Izeze, eternal rest, and for us the living, the strength of heart to accept the wish of God.
“I sincerely console you over this great loss even as I pray God to grant you, Nigerians and his immediate family the fortitude to bear this loss as I pray God to grant his gentle soul eternal rest.
“Adieu my friend, rest on, until we meet never to depart from each other anymore,” Eze wrote.
Chief Eze recounted that “As the Manager of Atiku’s Media Team and a prominent member of the defunct of Action Congress (AC) Presidential Campaign Media Team, the late Izeze proved himself as a true manager of men and resources, noting that, “With great and sound minds like Mal. Shehu Garba, Lai Mohammed etc, my late friend and brother was able to manage us all professionally without any of us complaining.
Chief Eze also recalled that, ” immediately after the 2007 Presidential Campaign, the deceased called him to come back to Abuja to collect whatever remained as his entitlement before Atiku Abubakar decided to send him off to Rivers State to assist Prince Tonye Princewill in his 2007 gubernatorial Campaign.”
“Since then, we have continued to keep in touch with each other till this sad news of his death.
“I must confess that I am totally devastated and saddened over this death. As at last Friday, he read all the messages I sent to him and couldn’t alert me that he was about leaving me like this.
“Death, you are totally unfair to me by plucking away a dear friend and brother,” Eze added.
Eze reposted a message the late Izeze recently sent to him, stressing that he was expecting his weekly messages by Monday before the sad news that Mr Izeze has gone.
According to Eze, the message reads; “Dear Chief Eze, Psalms 102:13 TPT
“I know you are about to arise and show your tender love to Zion. Now is the time, Lord, for your compassion and mercy to be poured out— the appointed time has come for your prophetic promises to be fulfilled!”
“I pray specially for you this morning that: The comfort of the Mercy of God and the strength of His Presence go forth and speak on your behalf as you awaken into this blessed new working week.
“I pray The Lord bring you out of obscurity into the limelight by the finished work of Christ in your life (1 Peter 2:9).
“The Lord grant you favour to harvest the blessings of each day as you go into it in His name.
“The Lord give you the Dew (Power) of heaven and cause you to walk in the fullness of the Heritage of Jacob.
“And may the infallible Word of the living God produce for and in you the tangibility of the reality that it conveys.
“I commit you into the enabling grace, wisdom, strength, and able hands of God Almighty to protect, guide, and direct your paths.
“Every counsel of the wicked upon your live is dispelled and cancelled.
“The blessings of the Lord will produce undeniable results in your life.
“A new level of grace has been released upon you: grace to see; grace to know; and grace to act timely.
“It is finished! It is finished, says the Lord?
“Of a surety, you’ll eat the good of this land, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
“Grace and the Peace of God be with your spirit, in Jesus Most Potent Name Amen”. Ifeanyi Izeze.
Again, Eze recollected the last time the late Izeze called him about two weeks ago to exchange ideas on how they will work together to rescue Nigeria as 2027 election approaches.
“Right now, I’m left without a great and inspiring partner. May your soul rest in peace, Mr Izeze, Eze prayed.
Finally, Eze commended Atiku for appreciating what Izeze represented in his media family with a condolence message, as he described the departed as one of the prominent and pioneer members of his media team.
