Nollywood actress, Doris Ogala has been asked to appear in court over claims she made about popular Lagos cleric, Dr. Chris Okafor.
Reports say that Pastor Chris Okafor, the leader of Greater Liberation City, is not responsible for her recent invitation by the police or any attempt to arrest her, despite what she has suggested on social media.
Instead, sources say Ogala is being investigated because of a criminal case filed against her by the Federal Government of Nigeria at the Federal High Court in Lagos.
The case is linked to things she posted online about the pastor.
The case, titled Federal Republic of Nigeria v. Doris Ogala, is being handled by Justice Aluko.
Police officers from Zone 2 Headquarters in Onikan, Lagos, reportedly tried to reach Ogala because she was expected in court on Tuesday, April 14, 2026.
She is currently on administrative bail. A source said the police only wanted to give her the court charges and make sure she appears in court.
According to court documents, the government has filed four charges against her. These include cyberstalking, spreading false information, harassment, and attempted extortion under the Cybercrimes Act.
She is accused of: Posting private and nude photos of the pastor without his permission; Making and sharing claims that he was involved in rape, rituals, and a death; Posting videos and messages meant to harass or intimidate him; and Allegedly threatening to release more damaging content unless she was given money or a house
A source close to the case said Pastor Chris Okafor is not behind the legal action and is only involved as the complainant.
The source added that anyone who makes serious allegations must be ready to prove them in court.
According to the source, the pastor is not seeking revenge, and the matter is now in the hands of the law.
Overall, insiders say this is a legal case being handled by the government, not a personal fight, even though it has been portrayed differently online.
