Full song to be released May 14, ahead FIFA World Cup kick off on June 11
Burna Boy now 2nd Nigerian artiste (after David), to feature on a FIFA Tournament official song

Music superstar, Shakira has presented the FIFA World Cup 2026 official theme song in collaboration with Nigerian Afrobeats maestro Burna Boy.
In the past, the Columbian music star had collaborated with FIFA for World Cup theme songs over the years.
Shakira shared an except of the 2026 tournament soundtrack via her X handle on Thursday. She revealed the song title
‘Dai Dai’, a collaboration with Afrobeats star, Burna Boy.
The post also informed that the full song will be released on May 14 ahead of the FIFA tournament, which will kick off on June 11 with Mexico taking on South Africa at the Azteca Stadium in Mexico City.
Shakira wrote: “From Maracaná Stadium, here is “Dai Dai,” the @FIFAWorldCup Official Song 2026. Coming 5/14. We’re ready! ⚽️🐺 @burnaboy,”
By this announcement, Burna Boy has now become the second Nigerian artiste to feature on a FIFA World Cup official song after Davido, who featured in the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup song.
Recall that, the Afrobeat singer has also previously featured in a UEFA Champions League theme song with Becky G in addition to performing at the 2023 Champions League final in Turkey.
What’s unclear at the time of filing this report is whether Borna boy will perform at the 2026 FIFA World Cup opening ceremony in Mexico City or at the final slated for MetLife Stadium in New Jersey( US) on July 19.
