*Says FCT Minister’s Wings are gradually being clipped
.*Describes threat against Atiku, Obi as mere ranting

A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, has claimed being in a celebration mood over what he described as decision leading to”rejection by President Bola Tinubu and the hierarchy of the All Progressives Congress (APC), to appoint the FCT Minister, Chief Nyesom Wike into the APC Presidential Campaign Council.
In a recent statement, Eze said, leaving Wike out of the APC Presidential Campaign Council was an indication that the hierarchy of APC is not unwary of his eye-service and glory-is-mine style of politics.
“I am a very happy man. Happy not because APC is involved, but because of the way the party shunned Wike from being a member of its Presidential Campaign Council.
“Nigerians are aware of how Wike had through his stooges lobbied to be appointed the Director General of the APC Campaign Council, but unfortunately for him, it seems the APC leadership are gradually coming to terms that Wike is a man that likes eye-service and takes glory of other people’s achievements.
“How do you look at a man who implied that APC lost the Osun State governorship election because he was not involved,” Eze queried.
The media and public affairs commentator alleged that Nigerians, particularly the Rivers people know too well that Wike is an electoral liability who can’t win any election on a level playing ground except through violence, intimidation of electoral institutions and rigging.
Eze said he would have been surprised if the party Wike disparaged recently over the outcome of the Osun stage governorship election, would later appoint him into its presidential campaign council.
Eze described as “flimsy and untenable”, Wike’s boast that he rejected being appointed into the APC Campaign Council because he doesn’t want to lose Rivers State during the 2027 general elections.
The ADC chieftain also alleged that Wike has already lost Rivers after putting the state into her worst trauma through both the state of emergency and wastage of the common patrimony of the state through what he described as “dubious contracts and useless flyovers only sited within his Local Government Area.”
Further more, Chief Eze described Wike’s alleged boast, that he will send fire after Atiku and Obi as the boasting of a drowning man looking for attention.
“The daily steps towards the ouster of Tinubu from office will be the fire that will live and consume him before and after the 2027 general elections, Eze said.
Meanwhile, Eze has taken a swipe on the FCT Minister over his post Osun State governorship election comments
Recall that few days after the victory of incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke in the August 15 Osun State gubernatorial election, Wike had claimed that the outcome of the poll was because President Bola Tinubu did not want to interfere in the process.
Eze who referenced Wike’s exact words: “If the President had wanted to win the Osun State election at all costs, I would have been there and we would have won it, and there is nothing the Governor can do,” reacted by dismissing Wike’s utterances with a wave of hand, pointing out that the FCT Minister only subtly degraded, disparaged and reduced the political ego and influence of APC hierarchy to nothingness.
He said: “I wept when I read the said report credited to Wike, concerning the victory of Governor Adeleke in the recently conducted Osun State Governorship election.
“That statement to say the least is callous, unpatriotic, irresponsible and an affront on the APC hierarchy, the party’s 22 Governors, the Senate President Goodwill Akpabio and other officials of the party.
“Wike in his loquacious nature, only but deliberately and arrogantly told the world that he is bigger, richer, influential, strategic and a better election rigger than the APC top echelon.
“The Wike Nigerians know, thrives politically using the pull-him-down strategy. The fact that Wike is not a member of APC has robbed off on his ambitious move to be Tinubu’s 2027 campaign director general,” the ADC Chieftain stated.
Eze, formerly the National Publicity Secretary of the defunct New Peoples Democratic Party (nPDP), that metamorphosed alongside other parties into what is today’s APC, believed that Wike’s comment, solely targeted the attention of Tinubu to the fact that he can’t rely on the APC officials if he must win the 2027 presidential election.
He further noted that, by his conduct, “Wike has reduced the APC hierarchy, Governors, Akpabio etc to mere political onlookers; quietly positioning himself as the rigging machine needed by Tinubu for the 2027 General elections.
“By Wike’s uncomplimentary remarks, he has unwittingly disclosed that he would be the machinery that would be used to win the 2027 general elections, especially the Presidential election, for the APC.”
Eze who expressed pity over what he described as “helpless and shameful situation” of the 22 APC Governors, Akpabio and others, advised them not to stand aloof and watch Wike destroy their political future.
The ADC chieftain described as “unfortunate, sad, and demeaning,” Tinubu’s continued silence on Wike’s “excesses and utterances that are capable of ruining Nigeria’s nascent democracy.
He alleged that, “If the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio and the 22 APC Governors were disgraced by Osun voters, who is Wike,” stressing that, Wike is apparently saying that the votes of the people of Osun state would not have counted if he were to be sent by Tinubu.
He seized the occasion to observed the electoral umpire’s role and others in the matter, stating: “This is an indictment against INEC, President Tinubu, security agencies and the Nigeria’s democratic system. How can one man boast of having the power to determine the result of an election and after such an …unpatriotic statement, such a political clown is still moving around as a free agent.”
Meanwhile, Eze described Wike’s outburst is a clarion call on Nigerians to seat up and ensure that the system that produced “such a nuisance is dealt with come 2027.”
He commended the proposed move by those he referred to as “over 10 million Nigerian youths, who are set to occupy and shutdown Abuja, to demand the immediate resignation of Wike as FCT Minister.”
