FIRST EDITION: The True Disability

Disability of the eyes;
Disability of the ears;
Disability of the spine;
Disability of the legs;

That of the hands that of the skin;
That of size, fat and thin;
That of height, tall and brief.

That which holds back the tongue from its speech;
That with which a voicebox can’t let out a screech;Disability of knees that can’t twitch.

These and more are paid attention to;
But there’s one that holds me and you;
Regardless of tribes, races and ethnic groups;

For it’s a language spoken by us as nations of people’s;
Yet it’s a disability shared amongst us worldwide;
NO! It’s not anger or pride;
~~~~
It is the disability of the mind;
Which for years has been left behind.
If the mind can’t think
To connect dots and links;
Hence the DISASTROUS of disabilities.
A diseased mind is deformity.
A deformed mind is disability.
Hence one in a diseased deformity of mind;
Is who is in disability of this kind;
Not one who’s deaf, lame or blind.
Able is all with the soundness of mind!
Subsequently, this column will be published every Monday.
