The Bafana Bafana of South Africa head coach, Hugo Broos has made public his final 23-man squad for the team’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Nigeria.
The head coach announced a 48-man preliminary list for both games last week. So far, Broos has now pruned down the list by removing 25 players.
By constitution, the squad is dominated by local -based players, with only six foreign-based stars included.
On Saturday, September 6, South Africa will be squaring up to Lesotho for a crucial match.
This will be followed by another encounter as they host Nigeria four days later at the Toyota Stadium, Bloemfontein.
