Officers of the State Police Command in Nasarawa State have arrested thirty-three suspects for committing various crimes.
The State Commissioner of Police, CP Shehu Umar Nadada, revealed this on Thursday while parading the suspects at the Police Headquarters in Lafia, the state capital.
CP Nadada said that 13 out of those paraded were arrested for kidnapping while 11 other suspects were apprehended for armed robbery.
The arrest, he said was an important milestone in achievements by the Command in its effort in the fight against criminality in the state.
Nadada explained that some of the suspects were arrested for cattle theft , rape and impersonation.
Items retrieved from suspects include two vehicles, one arms and the sum of ₦1,330,000.00. (One Million, Three Hundred and Thirty Thousand Naira )
The CP declared that, “The fight against criminals is continuous; it is in this light that the Police Command expresses its gratitude to members of the public for their support and collaboration and I urge all to continue in order for us to guarantee a safer and secure Nasarawa State.”
