The Minister-in-Charge, M.I.C and Zonal Pastor Rhema Chapel International Churches, Kado-Kuchi Abuja, Pastor Gbenga Gbadeyan has called on Christian faithful to explore the power of testimony and thanksgiving as a way of returning glory to God and provoking more divine blessings.

The MIC stated this on Sunday in a message for April Month-end Thanksgiving Service.

He observed that, “there is the need to understand that testimony is a form of thanksgiving. And this is a period to thank God for what he has done, he is doing and will yet do.”

In reminding the church members about the significance of thanksgiving, Pastor Gbadeyan referenced the book of Psalms 107:9, “he filleth the hungry soul with goodness,” noting that, “that is when thanksgiving comes from your mouth and out of your heart.”

According to the clergy, when Christians understand the power of testimonies, there would be no complaints or murmuring.

“When you refused to share your testimony, you deny some people of what God can do. Sharing testimony is supposed to be a lifestyle.

“When you have received something from God, share it. Your testimony is a statement to the failure of the enemy.

“Testimony is a prophesy to foretell what God will do, has done and will do tomorrow. Take time to share the record of God’s goodness in your life,” said the M.I.C, as he challenged members to appreciate God’s works in their lives.

He reminded the gathering of how God had asked Israel to pick twelve stones for the 12 tribes, to show a testimony for their deliverance.

The man of God went further to acknowledge that thanksgiving and testimony are a vital tool of encouragement in Christian setting.

He said: “When you share a testimony, it is not only for you, because someone is getting blessed through it, believing God to do same in his or her situation.”

The preacher equally reminded the congregants that every testimony is a story that portrays God’s character, saying, “what and what are common to God- changing lives, things and aadelivering people.”

He explained that, a testimony tells someone else about your journey and your relationship with God, adding that
It is about making God bigger and brighter. “When people who don’t know what God can do see how God is magnified in your testimony, that will draw them and yourself closer to God.”

Pastor Gbadeyan underscored the fact that testimony is a weapon for Christians, even as he quoted 12:11, “They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony,” noting that Christians should be steadfast in giving thanks and testifying to God’s manifold blessings, because through these acts people got delivered, chains were broken, “and testimony is a defeat to the kingdom of darkness and victory for the Kingdom of light. It enables you to trust him more.”

The MIC pointed out that the power in giving thanks and testifying signified the fact that, what God did for one, he can do for others, as it is capable of committing God to do more for the testifiers.

He challenged the congregants that to serve God is to serve the people, stressing that when it is difficult to do so is the best moment to do more.

“Thanksgiving qualifies you for another act of favour from God. If you have proper understanding of God’s Word, you will not fail to testify, ” he said.

He stressed that, when Christians testified, it is about telling God to do it again with same power and authority he did it before.

On exactly how to go about it, the preacher challenged Christians to allow the acts of testifying and thanksgiving to flow from the heart and eschew whatever could stand in the way of giving God the best.

Pastor G.G cautioned on the need to, “Give up anything that will make you not to give God the best. Don’t be a spectator at thanksgiving.

“Great things happen when it starts from the heart. We can’t experience the glory of God when it’s not from the heart. That is why the heart pumps blood to the rest of the body.”

The Man of God said that relationship with God makes it easy for anyone to testify, especially, where there is heart connection with God.

In concluding his message, the Minister-in-Charge challenged the members to review attitude and repair the altar to gain new heights. He expressed the fact that the spirit and the heart must be conscious of thanksgiving, as real thankfulness comes from the heart.

The Sunday service witnessed presentations from the children’s department, testimonies by members, special thanksgiving and baby dedication.
