The President and Founder of the Men of Issachar Vision Incorporated, Reverend Samson Ajetunmobi has challenged Christians to deploy prayers in an effort to receive more from God, no matter their previous attainments in life.

He stated this in his message at the just concluded two-day prayer retreat in Abuja- Alone with God, which came under the theme ‘There is More.’

Alone with God is a prayer retreat specially for old and young Christians and it is organized at intervals in Nigeria and beyond annually. For instance, the dedicated time in prayer and worship programme hols in Abuja twice in a year, April and September and marks a significant moment in seeking the face of God for life changing experience.

Delivering his message woven around the theme of the retreat, Rev. Ajetunmobi emphasized that life is about growth and increase. He made reverence to the book of Ephesians 3:20, which demonstrates the power of God to do more.

He said: “There is more in God in you, in other people and the Kingdom of God,” adding that no matter any individual’s current attainments, there is more to access in God.”

The Man of God stressed that everyone is an strong in the outside as he is in the inner man, (the spiritual capacity of man,) and just as every one requires spiritual strength to get things done, based on the spiritual atmosphere that allows man to do more.

Rev. Ajetunmobi noted that Alone with God provides a good time to experience God’s  presence.

He challenged participants at the retreat  that winning in life requires spiritual strength and said the biblical Sampson demonstrated supernatural ability, having received the strength of the spirit that helped his delivery despite his physical stature.

Reverend Ajetunmobi rekindled hope in his prophetic message by stressing that, “God marked us out for glorious living, not for shame…. to enjoy the strength of God, you must build your prayer altar afresh.

In another breath, he emphasized the need to build closer relationship with God, saying that, “the closer you get to him, the more of his presence.

“You enjoy revelations and insights, because there are many things in God we do not know.”

While stating that there is need to be prayerful to discern environment, he seized the moment to caution men of God to continue to be custodians of people’s secrets, because of the confidence that people will entrust in their hands.

He listed the benefits of following the path of prayer to include building more strength more and enjoying continual renewal the way Jesus did be always retiring to a private place for prayer.

“You need to stock back, because strength gets expended,” he said quoting from Isaiah 40:31.

Other benefits, according to Reverend Ajetunmobi, include having more authority and more boldness, more clarity and more direction, escaping  from every danger on the way, prayer leads  spiritual fervency, having victory over temptation- Matthew 26;41 and more transformation.

Similarly, teaching the Word, the Reverend’s wife, Pst. Mrs Stella Maris Favour Ajetunmobi, host of Back to Better for Ministers’ Wives, said that growing of the temple is the responsibility of every Christian.

She said that public tax are done for good religion.

Mrs. Ajetunmobi called on Christians to be steadfast in paying their tithes despite contrary opinions, while also advocating the need to support men of God through giving.  “Men of God need emotional support. Don’t fight or pitch your tent against the pastor,” she urged.

She emphasized another key principle of the Christian faith, saying that believer should stop getting giving birth and dropping them on the way, as she noted that effective discipleship is what it takes to mature a new convert. “Discipleship is not for pastors only, as every Christian must produce their own kind.”

She said that Christianity is all about responding to Jesus needs like discipleship.

Highpoints of the retreat included the miracle service, ministration by Pastor Femi Lazarus, lead pastor of Light Nation Church and other men of God, choir ministration by members of Rhema Chapel International Churches Abuja and testimonies from the past and present retreats.
