Former National Publicity Secretary of the defunct New Peoples Democratic Party, nPDP, Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, has described the solemnization of holy matrimony of Dr. Chimamkpa, son of the immediate past Minister of Transportation, Rt. Hon. (Barr) Rotimi Amaechi and his heartthrob, Anita, as the unification of Nigeria’s mainstream political czars, who are forging alliance to reshape Nigeria’s political future for a better democratic governance.
Apart from the fanfare and glamour that headlined the wedding ceremony on Saturday, the occasion afforded another great opportunity for some of Nigeria’s finest, pragmatic, visionary and iconic politicians of all times to assemble and rejoice with the Amaechis.
In a statement made available to journalists by Chief Eze, a close ally of Barr. Amaechi, he observed that the creme de la creme of Nigerians that graced the holy wedlock of Dr. Chimamkpa and Anita, was a testament to the fact that Barr. Amaechi is truly, and arguably one of the country’s most admired, loved, followed and respected political figures.
Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze said: “What could one say of a wedding ceremony that was attended by the likes of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, former Nigeria First Lady Dame Patience Jonathan, incumbent Governor of Abia State Alex Otti, former Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai; ADC National Chairman Sen. David Mark; former Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Seriake Dickson, erstwhile DG NIMASA Dr. Dakuku Peterside, Chief Emeka Beke, Dr Chris Amadi erstwhile EDFA NDDC and whole lot of politicians, captains of industry, clerics, royal fathers etc, if not to tag it a unification of Nigeria’s cerebral politicians.
“The presence of Dame Jonathan, wife of former President Goodluck Jonathan, not only added colour to the epoch making event but also reflected a renewed sense of peace, considering the strained relationship that once existed between the former Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, and the Jonathans during his second tenure, a rift that contributed significantly to the Rivers political crisis leading up to 2015, Eze stated.”
The roll call at the wedding also included notable guests like Senator Lee Maeba, Dr. Uche Igwe, Dame Ibifuro T. Tatua, Apostle Eugene Ogu, Chief Dumo Lulu Briggs, Mrs. Dolapo Osinbajo, and former Governor of Plateau State, Sen. Solomon Lalong, among several others,
Eze, a former member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Legacy Media Team, commended the dignitaries for physically honouring the special invitation by Dame Judith Amaechi on behalf of her family to the wedding of their children, Dr. Chimamkpa and Anita, noting that it was a demonstration of the love and respect Nigerians have for the Amaechis.
“Honestly, what Nigerians and the international community witnessed on the 27th of September, 2025, at St. Gabriel Chaplaincy, Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria, Abuja and at Los Angeles Event Centre, Abuja, venue of the reception, was a marriage ordained by God and graced by men and women of goodwill,” Eze said.
Chief Eze quoted Dame Judith Amaechi during the reception as saying, “This occasion marks not only a covenant of love but also a celebration of heritage, honour, and unity. Your esteemed presence will add grace and dignity to this cherished milestone in our lives”.
Also, in his goodwill message, former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar stated that, “It was a refreshing evening joining the family of His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, to celebrate the wedding of his son, Chikamkpa, and his bride, Anita Akubudike Martin.
“My delegation and I, including my wife, Titi, had the pleasure of attending the event. It is always a source of pride for parents to see their children start their own families.
“I congratulate Amaechi and Chief Martin’s families on the union of their children. I wish Anita and Chikamkpa a happy home and a great future together.”
Eze also claimed that the calibre of politicians in attendance during the wedding ceremony, radiated hope for Nigeria, in view of the present economic woes being experienced in the country due to bad political leadership.
“Though not a political gathering, however, the dignitaries and crop of politicians that attended the wedding, are beacons of hope, unity and genuine democratic governance in the country.
“We thank God for the dignitaries that attended the wedding ceremony and pray that celebration will never cease in their lives,” Chief Eze stated.

The Amaechis held their wedding event at the popular Los Angeles Events Center, located at Ahmadu Bello Way, Kado, in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.
