The New Year has come with high hopes and expectations again as it was in the beginning of the past one. Nigerians have braved many odds and experienced diverse transitions of socio-economic, political and psychological challenges and yet as a nation there is renewed resolve to forge ahead as a resilient people.
The Pinnacle Times congratulate men and women, youth, boys and girls who made the difference in every sphere of life and brought fame, glory and dignity to our fatherland, including the little heard who kept faith and contributed to peace in their immediate environment.
While we acknowledge the present administration’s many reforms aimed at rebuilding the nation on the path of prosperity, we urge the federal government and indeed the sub- nationals to step up efforts at poverty reduction, corruption free society and create an atmosphere that promotes general good for individuals. Nigeria will be better when leaders put the interest of its people first in service, when the followers tag along in the lead, giving necessary understanding and consider what can be done to build a united and virile country.
Let reforms and policies have human face and let the government consider building men above all else by encouraging more investments, giving more incentives to support our Small and Medium Scale Enterprises.
Also, we believe that safety and security is critical, so government at all level must work for the peace and progress of our communities and cities by ensuring the security of lives and property, including government infrastructure and assets.
On our part, as we journey to complete a circle of a year, almost unbroken production, we celebrate Nigerians who contributed their rich values and credible, reliable resources to our contents, including our ever committed team members who will stop at nothing to drive the vision and mission of our publication to fruition.
We therefore restate our commitment to solution, inclusion and ethical Journalism in an age dotted by the social media negativities, including fake news, gutter journalism and all forms of mismanagement of information in the hands of interlopers, who by share knowledge of the use of social channels have polluted the space with fakery, turning the legacies of robust and credible journalism to an all comers affair.
Reliable and credible information sharing is made seamless with relevant support, in realization of this we call on well meaning bodies and individuals to lend support to our commitment to serve the public better by making donations and giving moral support towards building the society and giving voice to the voiceless.
We thank our media partners and organizations for making worthy contributions to help us succeed in what we do, promising to do better with the New Year that offers another opportunity to make an improvement in all aspects. We wish the nation a prosperous 2025.
