Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Olurwmi Tinubu has played host to the British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Richard Montgomery and his team on Tuesday .
The visiting team commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s economic reforms as bold and positive, emphasizing that the reforms will translate to new opportunities for Nigeria and UK relations.
The delegation also particularly applauded the Renewed Hope Initiative for empowering women, especially in education, health, including the informal sector.
Sen. Tinubu, while speaking noted that government will continue to focus on touching lives directly and giving more Nigerians access to hope and opportunity.
She stressed the need for increased women representation in the National Assembly, while assuring the delegation of her commitment to support the cause.
She seized the opportunity to also enlighten women to throw their weight behind capable leaders.
She described the visit as fruitful saying, “The visit was both fruitful and encouraging for our shared goals.”
