Wife of Anambra State governor, Mrs. Nonye Soludo, has called for the better welfare and love towards children nationwide to promote their sense of belonging and boost their moral of a positive tomorrow.
She stated this during her visit to a motherless children home, Model Community Children Home in Awka, Anambra State capital on Sunday, in commemoration of the 2024 Children’s Day celebration.
Mrs. Soludo governor noted that children in the country, especially those in various orphanage homes, needed and expected love, improved care, compassion this time than before .
Nonye Soludo showered cash donation and relief materials on the children of the home, apart from provision of food which she cooked for the children during the visit.that and cash during the visit.
In her address during the visit, she emphasized the fact that children are the future of every nation and needed to be groomed with utmost care and protected regardless of family background.
She stated that her visit to the orphanage home was in keeping with the spirit and significance of Children’s Day, which she described as a period to be with children and assist them in making life more enjoyable and meaningful for them.
“The Children’s Day, for me, is a significant period in the life of children, it is a period to give them a sense of belonging and assure them that the future is bright for them. They are the future of the nation and need to be groomed with utmost care and protection, irrespective of family background,” she said.
