..as Commission commences online application first time ever

No fewer than 16,000 Nigerian applicants have submitted application online barely 24 hours after the official announcement of the Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC), recruitment exercise.

Speaking about this development, the Head of Press and Public Relations, FCSC, Taiwo Hassan, said it is not unusual to have high number of people logging into the site simultaneously.

He added that, as at Monday when the portal was open to the public, about 16,000 people had successfully sent their application.

Hassan also noted that the high level of applicants being experienced may have been caused by having the Commission’s recruitment online for the first time.

He informed that the online recruitment has been scheduled to last for a period of six weeks, and will last until March 10, 2025.

Concernining the error being experienced in the portal, he said that the ICT department of the commission is already addressing the situation for easy application.

“It’s quite normal for high-traffic sites like ours to experience occasional downtimes as we continue to scale and optimize, ” Hassan said.

On Monday, 27 January, the Federal Civil Service Commission announced the opening of portal and has since been receiving applications for recruitment into various vacancies for the commission.

Hassan went on to say that under the new recruitment exercise, a candidate can only apply for a role based the listed levels of education in the exercise.

The Commission equally encouraged eligible members of the physically challenged community to apply.

But available roles accept eligible Nigerians irrespective of their academic qualifications, even as applicants are required to upload relevant documents including the following:
