Afrobeats musician, David Adeleke known as Davido, excited the audience during the cocktail event in commomoration of the United Bank of Africa’s 75th anniversary.
The event took place during the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York.
Davido dazzled and put up a vibrant performance from his rapertoire of songs. ‘Aye’, ‘Skelewu’ and ‘Risky’, which moved the audience to dance and sing along.
Personalities at the event include Nigeria’s Vice President Kashim Shettima; Group Chairman of UBA, Tony Elumelu, and others at the UNGA in New York to chart a future for Africa.
An excited afribeats Singer, Davido, had expressed joy for making a debut at UNGA, hoping to mesmerize his audience all the way.
Earlier, in his post on X, Davido said upon his arrival : “Touch down New York City for the @UN General Assembly… My first time attending should be interesting …Also performing tonight at one of the events ! Catch me if u can!”
Davido is not the only one from Nigeria making such an appearance on a global stage, Florence Otedola, known as DJ Cuppy had appeared and rendered an opening song at this year’s UNGA 79th session.
