Dignitaries including politicians, members of the business community , captains of industry, friends, family and well-wishers were among those present as the Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu gave his daughter, Modupeoreoluwa, hands in marriage to her hearthrob Oladele Johnson.
The white wedding officiated by the Anglican Bishop of Lagos, Rt. Reverend Ifedola Okupevim was preceded by a traditional marriage ceremony a week before.
The role call of who-is-who at the wedding ceremony include Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, governors Alex Otti of Abia State; Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State; and Senator Hope Uzodimma of Imo State, governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State, Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State, Sanwo-Olu’s predecessor, Akinwunmi Ambode, Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun, among others.
Also in attendance at the occasion, which wedding service took place at the Cathedral Church of Christ, Marina, and reception at the Old Lagos Parliament Building (Old Government House), Marina, were the governors of Edo and Osun states, Godwin Obaseki, Ademola Adeleke of Osun State, among others.
