A Chieftain of the African Democratic Congress, ADC Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, has commended Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, the ADC Vice-Presidential Candidate, for giving his beloved mother, Dame Mary Oduah Amaechi, a befitting and dignified burial, well attended by array of national and state leaders.
In a statement made available to journalists, Chief Eze expressed profound appreciation to Rt. Hon. Amaechi for the manner in which he honoured his late mother, describing the attendance which drew eminent Nigerians as further confirmation of Amaechi’s stature and acceptance as a national leader.
Chief Eze said: “My dear brother and Leader, I commend and sincerely thank you for giving our dear mother a befitting burial and, more importantly, for attracting such a distinguished gathering of leaders to the occasion. The calibre of personalities who came to identify with you and your family has once again demonstrated that you remain an acceptable and respected national leader.”

In similar manner, Chief Eze expressed special appreciation to the wife of former Minister of Transportation, Dame Judith Amaechi, for the impressive representation of women leaders at the occasion, noting that their presence added colour, dignity and significance to the event.
The party chieftain also acknowledged the presence and contributions of the ADC governorship candidate in Rivers State, Dr. Gabriel Pidomson, and his running mate , Chief David Amapakaye Okumgba, whom he described as a dependable brother and friend whose presence was felt throughout the various activities surrounding the burial.
Chief Eze commended what he regarded as the “Moving Train” of the ADC and specifically appreciated the State Chairman of the party, Dr. Hon. Chukwudi Dimkpa, as well as other party leaders, supporters, friends and associates who contributed in diverse ways towards the success of the occasion.
According to him, the calibre, commitment and dedication of the leadership currently being assembled within the Rivers State Chapter of the ADC are sufficient reason for confidence that the party’s 2027 political project is firmly on course.
“With the calibre of leaders assembled to run the affairs of our great party in Rivers State, coupled with the commitment, unity and dedication demonstrated by our present crop of leaders and supporters, I am confident that our 2027 mission is firmly on course by the grace of God,” he noted
Chief Eze used the opportunity to advise former governor Amaechi to remain focused on the larger political objective and avoid being distracted by the alleged antics of former Governor Nyesom Wike.
He said: “My advice to our Leader is simple: please do your best to ignore Nyesom Wike and allow us to handle him at our level. His latest conduct has only reinforced the impression that he is increasingly becoming politically isolated and behaving like a drowning man who is desperately clutching at every available straw.”
Chief Eze concluded by reiterating his confidence in the leadership of the ADC and its growing political structure in Rivers State, expressing optimism that the party would emerge as a formidable force ahead of the 2027 elections.
