Super Eagles coach, Dinidi George has assured Nigerians that with the right caliber of players and capacity, the team will deliver victory in the task assigned to him.
Speaking on Arise News interview programme, the Morning Show (monitored by The Pinnacle Times), Mr. George who appeared as a guest stated that, currently, injured players on the Super Eagles team would be replaced by those that are fit and have more capacity to deliver, while expressing confidence that the two upcoming qualifying matches would be played with all seriousness.
“I have a way of talking to the players that will make them give their best,” said coach Finidi George who noted that despite challenges, the players can do all to find themselves at the next level.
He revealed that compared to his days as a footballer and his team’s sterling performance then, a lot has changed in the dynamics of football, stressing that today, other players around the world no longer fear Nigeria’s Super Eagles the way it was then, because the game of football is based of capacity.
About relationship with his friend and rival, Emmanuel Amuneke, the Rivers State born coach said that despite the contest for the position of the Super Eagles coach which saw him getting the top job, relationship with his friend has remained unaffected.
He said that both him and Amuneke had regular phone exchanges, including regular text messages coming from the latter.
And, when asked if he already got his first salary on the job as head coach, Finidi responded by saying that was yet to come as he was still within his first month of the take off of the contract. But he revealed that he was given a car including other perks.
