The President and Founder of the Men of Issachar Vision Incorporated, Reverend Samson Ajetomobi has declared that in the face of life challenges and situations God’s Words are his greatest weapons deployed for intervention.

He stated this at the just concluded April edition of Prayer and fasting retreat, ‘Alone with God’ held at Haris Hotel and Suites Wuye, in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

The two-day retreat with the theme: Times and Seasons, commenced on Friday 17, April 2026 ended on Saturday 18 April, recording diverse spiritual experiences, as participants thronged the hall in their numbers, having gathered from different parts of the country to be ministered to through a life transforming impartation.

During his ministration, Rev. Ajetomobi  appreciated men of God present, including Bishop Odunayo from Port Harcourt, Rivers State and a host of others as he shared depths of spiritual insights through  teachings from the Word of God .

He emphasized that the gathering which holds twice in a year (April and September) is typically for spiritual revival and not particularly for miracles. But he expressed the confidence about God’s faithfulness, because “miracles happen uninvited” as the Word of God takes effect.

He challenged participants that the essence of fasting during the program is to develop the capacity to hear God.

On the import of ‘Alone with God’ prayer retreat, he explained that, “You are alone with God, nobody is checking another person’s face.”

Speaking about the benefits, he said: “Some of you need to take major decision, when you talk to him (God) fasting and praying, he gives clarity.

He delved deeper into the word as he emphasized on the theme of the retreat- ‘Times and Seasons,’ citing Ecclesiastics 3: 1-11 and Genesis 1:14 to give a broader perspective of the point of reference.

“The strongest weapons of God are his words, he watches over it to make sure it comes to pass. And God said, let there be light, because it is the answer to darkness. The cure to darkness is light. Light causes a divide between day and night. Light separates between struggling and life of victory. Nothing works like the Word. Everytime the word of God comes, there is a divide,” Rev. Ajetomobi declared.

While calling for greater revival in the body of Christ, the Man of God warned that Christians can run away from God by their lifestyles are contrary.

He admonished the gathering further by stating that, “Life’s route can be clumsy, but when you follow him, he will show you the way, because seasons come and  seasons go.”

According to him, life’s seasons are marked by different experiences, noting that when people face famine as a season, brethren should be careful the way they treat them at such times. He noted that there are differences in the seasons of life confronting individuals.

Concerning the church and its role in the land, he said that churches are losing spirituality by competing with the corporate world and for it not to lose steam, there is the need for revival in the body of Christ.

Rev. Ajetomobi again stressed that seasons do change but the church remains a spiritual house, while expressing displeasure that the sacredness of the church has been taken away by social events.

He therefore pointed out that the biggest challenge of the church is gathering a crowd not well thought. “Prayer is not prayer until you pay the word of God back to him- it is written. God can repeat himself in all life circumstances.”

“Don’t speak against people in their painful season. Help people in their season,” he urged.

On second and final day of the retreat, Rev. Ajetomobi preached the Word on ‘For a Season’ and stated that there is time for preparation, manifestation and a time for warfare.

The President and Founder of the Men of Issachar Vision Incorporated said when a believer follows the path chosen for him by God, he will prosper you in it. He challenged Christians to avoid compromise, noting particularly that.working with God is not difficult,as long as one walks in Obedience.

“Don’t go into extra spiritual activities, it will complicate your journey,” he urged

During his Short charge Short charge, he demonstrated how God changed seasons and times through Deniel 2:20-22 . He added that Daniel provided an answer to the King’s desperate question.

He said, to discern secrets, root matters must be dealt with, because “many issues in life are root issues.” And taking a que from Daniel’s, he said, “When God answered your prayers raise act of worship.”

He concluded that “every revealed secret is an opportunity for a rise, but the ones you don’t know will keep you disadvantaged.”

During the session of prayer of intercession by Rev. Stella Ajetomobi, she called on the church to stand in the gap to enforce change by bringing the presence of God to bear.

She emphasized the presence of God by making reference to the experience of Jacob in Genesis 28:16, even as she called on attendees of the retreat to take full advantage of the atmosphere.

Earlier, Dame Didi Esther Walson-Jack, a funding member of ‘Alone with God’ during her welcome address and introduction described Rev. Ajetomobi  as a man that kept the great commission to heart.

On his part, Hon. Nimi Walson-Jack appealed for more support towards the programme, calling for more partners to join hands with the organizers in realizing the retreat objectives.

Prayers for the youths were offered by Mrs. Bolatito Sure-Olufe, who maintained the youths are the future and should be taken off the streets and be assisted to realize their great potentials.

Highpoints of the retreat were recorded during the miracle service which brought about God’s remarkable intervention through healing in diverse ways.

Some of the recorded acts of outstanding miracles included a woman who could not kneel for three years getting healed; God healing a man who was carried to the program from Jos in company of a medical doctor and family members. He rose and walked (witnessed by this reporter).

Others included God healing a man with Parkinson’s disease; a woman with walking stick based on medical condition healed; a lady delivered from addiction to eating earth clay; consistent coughing for six months disappeared; 17 years of severe back pain and asthma patient healed, among other conditions.

The second edition of Abuja Alone with God’ Prayer and Fasting Retreat comes up in September 2026, at a yet to be determined date.
