The Chief of Army Staff, COAS, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, has directed the Nigerian Defence Academy ,NDA, to scale up cadet training with a stronger emphasis on discipline, character, courage and strategic thinking towards meeting the demands of modern day warfare.

He assured of its full support to the Commandant in executing these reforms, assuring that the Army Headquarters remains committed to ensuring the NDA produces officers who are strategically sound, operationally competent and adequately prepared for today’s complex security environment.
