As FG Reward System smiles on Taiwo with N50 million, a brand-new car, and a fully furnished two-bedroom house

For bringing pride and excellence, Ogun State governor, Dapo Abiodun has rewarded Nigeria’s Overall Best Primary School Teacher, Mr. Solanke Francis Taiwo, an indigene of the state with a brand new car.
“We rewarded Nigeria’s Overall Best Primary School Teacher, Mr. Solanke Francis Taiwo, with a brand new car in recognition of his outstanding achievement and dedication to excellence. This honour reflects our firm belief that quality education is driven by motivated and well-supported teachers,” Prince Abiodun stated.
He emphasized that Mr. Solanke Francis Taiwo’s achievement further affirms the impact of deliberate reforms and “sustained investments in the education sector, particularly under our Education Revitalisation Agenda, which prioritises teachers’ and students’ welfare alongside infrastructure, innovation, and curriculum development.”
Governor Abiodun assured of his administration’s commitment to celebrating excellence and giving necessary incentives to educators.
He also noted the need to continuously ensure the training and equipping teachers with modern tools, including digital and AI-powered platforms, “to ensure Ogun State continues to set the pace in educational excellence nationwide.”

The recipient emerged as the Overall Best Teacher in Nigeria for 2025, winning N50 million, a brand-new car, and a fully furnished two-bedroom house.
The awards, totalling N325m, were presented at the Nigerian Teachers’ Summit held in Abuja on Tuesday.
In the awards categories, 11 other outstanding teachers, drawn from a pool of nominees among the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, equally received N25m each, in line with the federal government introduced reward scheme to honour teachers for their dedication and impact on learning outcomes.
