Rivers State Governor Siminialayi Fubara has made critical change in his cabinet with the appointment of a new Chief of Staff, CoS, and the Secretary to the State Government, SSG.
In a statement in Port Harcourt on Thursday, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Onwuka Nzeshi, made the disclosure.
According to the statement, the appointments of Dr Dagogo S.A. Wokoma as the Secretary to the State Government and Barrister Sunny Ewule as the Chief of Staff, CoS, are with immediate effect.
The governor earlier sacked his aides, including former CoS, Edison Ehie and SSG, Dr Benibo Anabraba, following political crisis in the state and the fall out of Abuja “peace deal”.
The two appointees were expected to have been sworn in today by 2:pm, at the Exco Chamber, Government House, Port Harcourt. (based on the official schedule contained in the statement.)
