The divide in political circles across Rivers State has continued to grow as more groups now support the estranged political son of former governor Nyesom Wike, Sir. Siminalayi Fubara, the incumbent state chief executive
This time, The Pinnacle Times gathered that former lawmakers and political office holders in the state are pledging their support to Fubara.
For instance, 11 out of the 24 sacked Rivers State House of Assembly members who were once loyal to Wike are planning to realign themselves with Governor Fubara, this publication can confirm. The former lawmakers were previously in the APC.
Our findings also indicate that they were lured into APC by the FCT minister to oppose and impeach the governor but they have made a u-turn to support governor Fubara.
Also among them are immediate past local government chairmen, known for their allegiance to Wike, but who have reportedly pledged loyalty Governor Fubara.
They aim to pledge their unwavering loyalty and demonstrate their commitment to supporting the governor’s agenda, which prioritizes unity, peace, and development across the state.
They are of the view that Governor Fubara has consistently championed a harmonious Rivers State that prioritizes the welfare of the people and a brighter future for all.
The recent shift in allegiance further confirms call for peace, inclusivity, and the advancement of Rivers State across political divides.
Already, the political landscape of the state is rapidly changing with the aftermath of the last Saturday’s local government elections as many in Wike’s camp are now pro-fubara
