Chippa United goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali is doubtful for Nigeria’s upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and South Africa over his reported injury.
Nwabali was stretchered off in the 35th minute of Chippa United’s South African Premier Soccer League clash with Richards Bay on Tuesday night.
Nwabali, 29, appears not to be against time for the games against the Amavubi and Bafana Bafan
The goalkeeper was named in Nigeria’s 31-man provisional squad for the crucial qualifiers last week.
Adebayo Adeleye, Amas Obasogie and Ebenezer Harcourt are the other shot-stoppers listed in the squad.
The Nigerian team will take on Rwanda and South Africa on September 6 and 10.
