It is no longer a secret that Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle has a few surprises”in his final squad list for next month’s 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe.
According to grapevine, barring any last-minute injuries the Super Eagles coach now has his final 23-man squad which he plans to unveil for the World Cup qualifiers .
It was gathered that two of the players on this list are making a return after several months out of the national team, in addition to an uncapped defender.
“The coach has retained the core of the squad who qualified Nigeria to the 2025 AFCON, but there are still a few surprises,” the source revealed.
“The coach wants only the best players for the matches next month.”
It is clear now that the Super Eagles cannot afford to drop points as they languish second from bottom in Group C with three points from four matches.
