Few things to note about Prayer1

  1. It has to be heartfelt. That is, your entire being must be given to it. It can’t be done half heartedly. You must be committed to it.
  2. Prayer is more of a lifestyle than a means to get something done. Luke 18:1- 1 And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint
    1Thessalonians 5:17- Pray without ceasing.
  3. We are commanded to pray.
  4. We don’t know how much can be achieved and done because we don’t pray or we don’t pray enough.

    5. The effect of prayer is not seen by reading about prayer. Neither is it seen by knowing the types of prayers
Do you desire to see prayer power? Then Pray! Only then will you see the Power being generated in the place of prayer.
‘…the man who prays gradually becomes a testament of the power being made available in the place of prayer.’
How do we Harness the Power of Prayer?
1.First, there must be a partnership with God. We shouldn’t see prayer as an emergency button that we press whenever we are in a fix.
It is important to have a partnership with the one you are praying to.
    Daniel 11:32
”…but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits
.” Exploits, great feats, supernatural occurrences through prayers are possible if only we know our God.

2. Never assume you can make things happen. It takes God to answer prayers.

3. We can experience the mightiness of God through prayers when we pray his will and counsel.

4. Consistency and persistence in prayer. The book of Luke 18 explains this better. You’ll see a surge of power in your prayers if you won’t give up quickly or quit at the sight of pressure.

5. Pray the WORD! Nothing beats this! You can be rest assured you are praying correctly.

6. Pray in tongues. Jude 1:20‘…But you, beloved, build yourselves up on [the foundation of] your most holy faith [continually progress, rise like an edifice higher and higher], pray in the Holy Spirit…’

Do you want to see the Power of God in your life, family, job and even finances? Then Pray!

The powerful expressions of prayer is manifested mostly through Men! Hence, prayer affects the man praying first before any public show or manifestation.

Let’s take a look at the case of Peter who was arrested and imprisoned. Acts 12:5‘…So Peter was kept in prison, but the church was earnestly praying to God for him…’

Check the response to the prayer of the church in verse 7: ”And, behold, the angel of the Lord came upon him, and a light shined in the prison: and he smote Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, Arise up quickly. And his chains fell off from his hands.“ The power of prayer!

Let’s also take a look at when Peter prayed for Dorcas in Acts 9:40 “Peter sent them all out of the room; then he got down on his knees and prayed. Turning toward the dead woman, he said, “Tabitha, get up.” She opened her eyes, and seeing Peter she sat up. The power of Prayer!

Prayerlessness or little prayer is the reason we don’t see and enjoy the power of prayer as we ought to.

If we will Pray fervently and effectively

  1. Prayer causes a release from bondage. (Financially, maritally, academically etc)
  2. The sick will be healed
  3. The dead will be raised back to life.
  4. Healings and miracles would place.
  5. Supernatural occurrences would take place.
  6. The power of God would move more though us in our churches, family, business, finance, careeretc.
  7. Great and mighty things which eyes have not seen takes place when we pray.
I’ll end this article by saying, TEACH a man the way of prayer and you’ve successfully led him to the Power house of God. Instagram @goodnewsdiji
