Nigeria’s President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has returned the second time as the chairman of the Economic Community of West African States, ECOWAS, just close to a year after he took over the leadership of the regional bloc.

It would be recalled that Tinubu was first elected to the position in Guinea-Bissau on July 9, 2023.

Tinubu was re-elected as the ECOWAS chairman during the 65th Ordinary Session of the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government. The event took place at the Presidential Villa in Nigeria on Sunday.
