The Federal Civil Service Commission, FCSC, has debunked claims in some section of the media platforms regarding new recruitment exercise.

This was disclosed in a statement on Wednesday where the Commission clarified that no recruitment process has commenced as alleged, saying the widespread information about recruitment is misleading.

The statement signed by Mr. Taiwo Hassan on behalf of the Chairman of the Federal Civil Service Commission, Olaopa states clearly that any information suggesting advertised vacancies or recruitment drives under the name of the FCSC, including references to the Commission’s website and the Director ,Recruitment and Appointment), is entirely fabricated.

“The Commission unequivocally declares that the information containing the Commission’s website and the name of the Director (Recruitment and Appointment) did not emanate from the Commission. It is fictitious and should be disregarded, ” the statement read.

The Commission cautions the Nigerian public to be vigilant against fraudulent activities by recruitment syndicates and racketeers who exploit such false narratives for personal gains.

The FCSC emphasized that any genuine recruitment process would be officially announced through national dailies and the Commission’s official website.

“The Commission warns members of the public to be wary of the activities of fake recruitment syndicates and racketeers; as there is no fresh appointment currently going on in the Commission,”

”The FCSC reassures the public that accurate information regarding recruitment will be transparently communicated when the time comes. Until such an announcement is made, all should treat recruitment claims with skepticism.

This clarification is vital for job seekers across Nigeria who might have been misled by false advertisements, potentially leading to financial or identity-related risks. The Commission’s proactive step in issuing this disclaimer underscores its commitment to transparency and integrity in public service recruitment processes, ” the statement re-emphasized.

The FCSC therefore called on members of the public to follow its official communications or visit the Commission’s website for more updates on recruitment processes.
