Long-term Chelsea target Victor Osimhen has been back on the Blues’ radar in recent weeks, with the Nigerian striker set to leave Napoli this summer.
Chelsea have been busy once again in the summer transfer window, with eight new faces having already come through the door at Stamford Bridge. The majority of incoming have been young talents for the future, but with a striker still a target for Enzo Maresca, Osimhen’s name has popped up once again.
With former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte keen on bringing Romelu Lukaku to Napoli, a deal involving Osimhen heading to west London could take place – potentially on a season-long loan with the option to buy. The 25-year-old striker was scored 76 goals in four seasons for Napoli, with Paris Saint-Germain also interested in the Nigerian international.
So, if Chelsea signed Osimhen, what could happen? Let’s take a look.

Chelsea’s 2024/25 season simulated with Victor Osimhen
To set up this simulation, we used Football Manager 2024 to move Osimhen to Chelsea in the summer transfer window before simulating the 2024/25 season. This is what happened.
Despite Nicolas Jackson showing great promise last season, the striker received limited game time in the 2024/25 campaign, with Maresca opting to play Osimhen regularly in the lone striker role. At the end of the season, Osimhen has proven himself as a top striker in the Premier League with a more than respectable goal return.
