Poser of the Day:
‘THE BOSS, how can a man rise again when he has nothing with which to restart; no one to turn to; and with unceasing prayers providing no succour hitherto and is relaunching even possible in the circumstance’?
Introduction: Welcome to this session of ASK THE BOSS. It always is nice to come out here, every Friday week, to share my thoughts on a question or two sent in by one or two of us. No savvy, but the enormous feedback I receive regularly speaks to the immense usefulness and monumental impact of this socio-emotional series. When you understand the untold healing potentialities inherent in ASK THE BOSS, you cannot but reach out for a touch.
2.0 I am encouraged to encourage you to keep encouraging yourself vis-a-vis inboxing me those puzzling troubles that bedevil your life, business, academics, finances, politics, relationship, beliefs, etc. Remember though to send your preferred photograph, or to plead anonymity if. I trust Lord Total to use me to provide you that talismanic answer. We shall keep winning, willy nilly.

3.0 The Poser: ‘THE BOSS, while thanking you so much for this great opportunity, I pray God Almighty to bless you and reward your selflessness’. That’s how Ms. Precious Miracle Peters, who’s based in Uyo, teed off her entry, before firing her shot. Here she is again: ‘THE BOSS, how can a man rise again when he has nothing with which to restart; no one to turn to; and with unceasing prayers providing no succour hitherto? Is relaunching even possible in the circumstance’?
4.0 My Take: Dear Ma’am, ‘how can a man rise again and is relaunching even possible in the circumstance’? Those twin vexed questions are quite loaded but I hope my response would be short and simple. First things first, I am afraid you made two of the most seemingly small, innocent mistakes we all make, almost always. You showed that doubt and you are five and six when you talked about there being no man to turn to and unceasing prayers going unanswered.
5.0 I try never to answer a question with a question, but Ma, you leave me with no other choice. So, I fire back: who must or should a human being in crisis turn to first, another human being or our Creator? That’s one. Two, who answers prayers; how and when?
6.0 I can help you. Man must or should turn to God first, at all times. God is too big, too in-charge, too able to be kept aside and drafted in only as an afterthought or as a last-gasp alternative. God is too (O)mega, too Alphaish, too Omnipotent to be introduced as a sub; I mean to whom can God play second fiddle?
7.0 God alone answers prayers, and trust me on this one: He answers ALL prayers! Problem though, is: human beings want Him at our beck and call. We want God to answer in the affirmative, every time and following our own timeline. We never accept no as an answer no matter how beneficial it shall be on the long run nor do we understand that delay is just human impatience to God’s perfect timing!
8.0 That’s it, Darl. At this juncture, let me suffice it with a wee part of my personal story. You know I never would have believed that our media brand, BUSH HOUSE NIGERIA, could ever run into horrible financial weather because come on, I used to think we were covered since altruism was and remains our corporate policy. When all hell broke loose in 2015, my family, members of staff and I prayed and prayed and prayed -and fasted.
9.0 Alas, no show. When I could no longer wait for that divine intervention (more like I could no more trust God to show up), I did all we all do: descended every valley, climbed every mountain looking for help. Let me say it raw: I went on self-help. And who did I reach?
10.0 You can guess the two sets of people I targeted: number one, people who had benefitted from BUSH HOUSE NIGERIA who have gone up as well as number two, those I felt were in a position to help. I wanted to outsmart or relegate God. The result was more woes: drawing blank with these men, and with piling debts and threatening creditors, I resorted to selling belongings. After flinging my four cars, I crawled back prodigally to the First and Last Man standing -you know who!
11.0 Man must and should know permanently that God is too much; that God has no good second. God simply reminded me of a dream that Mr. Victor Umoh (a Radio Akwa Ibom OAP) had about me in November, 2011. I prayed about it. Thence, Heaven guided me to people I had never known or considered and tell you what -nearly a decade on- that process grinds on.
12.0 The rest, as they say, is history. The long and the short of the foregoing, my dear Ms. Precious Miracle Peters, is that we must learn to wait for and on God. In and out of crisis, man needs God, not men. When we trust God fully, in His time He brings us the men and women and things we need.
13.0 Help na spiritual somting. I once wrote on that, remember? No man, no woman, no child, no power can help you -even if they desperately wanted to- without God’s say-so first! Always trust God, He has His ways to mint help plus including extracting help for you from strangers or from people or from animals or from things you thought useless.
14.0 Tell your man that I have prayed for him; that in three days -three days- he shall see God. All that’s required of him is for him to redirect his focus from man to God, renew his faith to see that it was time not God that kept answer(s) to his prayers. Semifinally, to directly answer your question about the possibility of rising again: the answer of course is yes, your man shall rise again on the third day, counting from today.
15.0 Finally, while your man looks forward to help, tell him that The Boss says he needs also to look for anything (any work) to do -while waiting. It is important to never wait in a vacuum; to never idle away in the name of waiting for help or on God. It is best to keep busy while expecting a miracle otherwise one may die in either anxiety or boredom, or both. Life’s best formula is: work and pray, believe and wait, rejoicing always!
God bless Nigeria!
