When stars fall, much truth about them breaks through. However, not all that comes through about them will be true. People who have been jealous of them for years will seize the opportunity to tear through them. Others in search of clout or cash will expose things that they threw, which may not be true.

And after relentlessly absorbing all these controversies, people who have been mind-controlled by the mainstream media will start saying things like, ‘There is no smoke without fire’, which is inaccurate. There can be smoke without fire.

But think about this. If your life is scrutinised with a microscope and the details of everything you have ever done are handed over to your enemies, they can use them to de-market and demean you.

So, when we look at P Diddy, perhaps instead of condemning him, we should take some of these stories with a pinch of salt and say, ‘There go I but for the grace of God’.

This is a person who grew up in poverty as a child without his father, who was shot when Sean Combs was two. He withstood many vicissitudes and pulled himself up by his bootstraps. He helped many people and gave joy to s multitude of others through his music.

Black people around the world could learn about self love from the Jews. The way they love their own, even when they have fallen, is commendable.

A good example is Woody Allen. Please research about the creepy things he did. They are so sordid I cannot even mention them here. But his community stood by him, and he never fell. He got a slap on the wrist and was reinstated somewhat.

We lack that. The biggest music star was a Black man: Michael Jackson. The greatest TV star of all time was another brother-Bill Cosby. One of the biggest box office actors ever is Will Smith. And arguably the best boxer of the eighties and nineties is Mike Tyson. And when each of them was being demeaned and diminished, it was their community that led the choir.

About the only person we universally stood behind was OJ Simpson.

No matter how bad the media paints P Diddy, still find time to pray for him to pull through his current ordeal. He already has the world condemning him. He does not need more condemnation. If he is guilty, he will get it in the courtroom. Instead of judgment, what he needs now are prayers and empathy.

Perhaps you could be the one who helps him get that.
