A young man identified as Dare Thomas Goodluck and. resident of Surulere in Lagos State has been declared wanted by the police.
He is being accused of sodomy- practicing homosexuality with a male partner.
This came to the fore at the monthly community meeting in Surulere, where resident accused Dare Thomas Goodluck of fondling the breasts of some men in the community.
The development compelled the leaders of the community to put Goodluck on the community watch list.
According to the report about the allecged act, on July 7, 2021, some members of the community acted on intelligence reports, stormed his apartment. Goodluck was allegedly caught in a compromising situation and the suspected homosexual was attacked by the community youths, but he escaped.
The situation worsened as furious community members closely watched Goodluck’s residence, hoping for his return to deliver what they perceived as a fitting penalty for his perceived wrongdoings.
Reports indicate that since then police officials, angry family members and community youths attempted to arrest him, but were unsuccessful, and his current whereabouts remain unknown.
It was also reported that police invitation extended to him was not honoured.
And, following his non-appearance Police therefore declared him wanted over his alleged involvement in homosexual activities.
