Exactly two years ago,(on May 6, 2023), the wedding bell rang for the adorable daughter of Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, an APC Chieftain, member of APC Legacy Projects Media Team & former National Publicity Secretary, nPDP, Monica Ada Chukwuemeka.
The event which took place in grand style at Chapel of Mercy, a Christian denomination (founded by Evangelist (Mrs.) Ada Chioma Henrietta Chukwuemeka Eze, the beloved wife of Eze and mother of the bride) witnessed high turn out of the creme de la creme of society among whom were the now Honourable Minister of Works and former governor of Ebonyi State, David Umahi ( who hosted the occasion) and dignitaries like Alhaji Abubarkar Atiku, Rotimi Amaechi , Boni Haruna, Igwe, AIG Okudo, Dakuku Peterside, Onari, Profs Nwaorgu, Agwu, Agu and others who either graced the occasion personally or were represented to honour the father of the bride.
And so, the Ezes will continue to savour the rich and profound memories of the event as the first daughter of the family, Lady Monica Ada Chidinma Chukwuemeka Eze tied the knot with her heartthrob, Hon. Elechi Oko Elechi, in a well attended and elaborate ceremony.
A flourishing suburb in eastern Nigeria, peculiar for its serenity and natural environment, precisely the town of Uburu, Ohaozara in Ebonyi State played host to the traditional marriage and wedding ceremonies.

The town prides itself for having produced at a time late Dr. Ogbonna Onu, erstwhile Minister of Science and Technology; Dr. Dave Nweze Umahi, Nigeria’s most innovative Governor and Minister of Works, whose impact in the politics of the country cannot be overemphasized. Other sons and daughters of the soil are Chief Austin Umahi, former National Vice Chairman of PDP, South East Zone, AIG Dr. Grace Chita Okudo. All the listed great leaders from UBURU had their offices almost at the same time, becoming the only town in Nigeria to be so blessed
Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, the revered media practitioner and erstwhile National Publicity Secretary of the defunct New People’s Democratic Party (nPDP), had cause to thank the Providence and the special guests who are friends, associates and well-wishers cut across the social strata- political, religious leaders and Captains of Industry.
The media practitioner and APC chieftain could not but appreciate the erstwhile Governor of Ebonyi State and current Minister of Works, Senator Dr. Dave Nweze Umahi for being generous enough to approve the use of his hotel, OSBORN LA PALM ROYAL RESORT LTD. for reception and acted as Chief Host, through represented by his former Press Secretary, Chief Emmanuel Obasi.
Chief Eze would also go down memory lane to appreciate the likes of the erstwhile Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar GCON, Waziri Adamawa and PDP Presidential Candidate in the 2023 general elections including Dr. Boni Haruna former Governor of Adamawa, the state of birth of the Bride, were duly represented by Chief Nelly Mokwenye who chaired the event with Rev. Dr. Chukwuma Joseph Chukwu.
And, of course, Chief Eze’s Principal, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, was equally represented at the ceremony. Dr. Eric Kelechi Igwe, the ever smiling former Deputy Governor of Ebonyi State was represented by the former Ebonyi State Commissioner for Lands.
AIG Dr. Grace Chita Okudo, Chief Eze’s sister with her amazing husband, Pharm. Sunny Okudo who ensured that their presence were fully felt.
Chief Eze who could not contain his excitement recalls further saying,”Though my great friend and brother, Dr. Dakuku Adol Peterside, erstwhile DG of NIMASA, the Strategy Turnaround Expert was outside the country during the event, he monitored the wedding activities almost on hourly basis.
“Prof. OGB Nwaorgu, Chief Eze’s in-law and his wife’s most senior brother, one of Nigeria’s best Medical Doctors was fully represented.
“Prof. Ekwe Agwu of UNN was in attendance with his beautiful wife
“Prof. Innocent AGU sent his wife, Dr. Chimebere AGU to stand for him while my brother and friend, Dr. Brown Onari the former Executive Director Marine and Administration at the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) ensured that nothing was lacking during the wedding.
“APICP Mariam Ukeni one of the most outstanding Women Ministers led the Church with the support of Rev. Dr. Chukwuma and Pastor Johnson Eze (JP) who officiated the wedding with Rev. Dr. Nestor Nzeribe who ensured that those who attended the wedding left with a better understanding of God’s purpose for marriage. Apostle Micheal Udeh, Rev. Sam Eze, Pastors (Mrs) Johnson Eze, Anyao Ezeaka, Christopher Nwaorgu, Emma Ewa and other Ministers of God assisted to make the church wedding a very memorable one.”
The clergymen were accorded their necessary dues and a host of other important personalities by Chief Eze who expressed gratitude to the Pastors and members of RPM, RCCG Peniel Parish, RCCG Dominion Parish and the RCCG Umuobuna Community, Chairman of FUPA, Coordinator and staff of NPC, and the representatives of NIMASA, Chairman of Umungwuta Family Meeting and of course the President of Umuobuna and entire Ebonyians that honoured the event.
In his message of appreciation, the APC chieftain said he would continue to be indebted to former Ebonyi State governor, David Umahi and the current Minister of Works for ensuring that the road leading to his compound was duly tarred with street lighting just for the purpose of the wedding.

Eze thanked Boni Haruna, erstwhile Governor of Adamawa for engaging him to reflect the memories he shared with him while at Adamawa.
To his wife, Evang. Ada Henrietta Chioma Eze and the entire family of P. N. Nwaorgu and Ezenwannne, Eze appreciated God for bringing them together.
The father of the bride poured his blessings on the couple in words of prayer: “May God bless my daughter and her husband, Elechi for given us reasons to know more about the awesomeness of our great God. Your home is blessed,”
In conclusion, Eze quoted his last child, Grace C. Chukwuemeka-Eze who captured the mood of the family when she penned, “Happy Wedding Anniversary to my beautiful sister and her husband. Your marriage is a quiet, steady kind of love, the kind that speaks through patience, kindness, and shared strength.
“It’s been a privilege to witness your journey together, how you’ve grown side by side and continued to build a life rooted in respect and care.
“To my sister your warmth, loyalty, and grace shine in every role you take on, especially in the way you love and to your husband @Elechi thank you for being her partner, her support, and her home.
“May the years ahead bring even more peace, growth, and moments of quiet joy. Wishing you both continued blessings in this life you’re building together, Amen.
“Finally, I pray God to bless your Union and cause your marriage to be a blessing to this generation IJN”
